Burnin' Down the House

On February 22nd, 2008 a fire and explosion ripped through the historic district of downtown Durango, injuring as many as seven firefighters who were on the roof of the building when it exploded. One of the businesses destroyed in the fire, Seasons Restaurant, hosts a “Burnin’ Down the House” party to benefit The Hundred Club of Durango in celebration that no one was killed in the fire and explosion. The joyous event recognizes and thanks the Fire & Rescue Personnel and Law Enforcement Officers that responded to the fire. Uniformed Fire & Rescue Personnel greet guests from the ladder truck parked out front, while attendees, including DFRA Chief Dan Noonan and many firefighters, officers and Hundred Club members, are treated to great food and community fellowship – all the while benefitting The Hundred Club of Durango, which receives all of the proceeds from the evening event.
